I have been into magic ever since I was a kid, so this page is dedicated to magic. There are spells and incantations, phases of the moon and almost everything you will need to know. If there is something you want to know about and it is not listed here then e-mail me and I will try my best to put it up. Blessed Be!
A Warning About Spellcraft and witch-craft

If you are under 18, please consult your parents before attempting any kind of spellcraft, including the spells presented here. Further, many books on magic woefully fail to take into account that some practices involve the use of candles, herbs and oils, and ceremonial weapons which could cause injury, illness, or even death if improperly handled. For example: there is a grave risk of fire in leaving lit ceremonial candles untended; even dull knives and swords can cut; some herbs, like jimsomweed (the active ingredient in the so-called witches' flying potion), can kill you; and Oil of Abramelin will burn like heck if it gets in your eyes! So, you should be wary of what you do and use common sense to protect yourself, others, property, and the environment.

Angels, Demons, and Elemental Spirits.

One of the questions I frequently get asked is: "Are demons real?" It's funny. Nobody asks if angels are real. We all just assume they are. I suppose we want to believe that demons are fictional and that angels are real for the same reason we want to think that our world is, for the most part, a sane, stable, safe place -- the center of the known universe. Well, it isn't any of those things. While there is some basic order to the universe, it's very important to remember that all of us are just flying through space on an unknown trajectory going toward God only knows what, and really, really fast. And yes, just like we might get whacked by a meteor at any minute, we might also get whacked by evil. Evil is alive and well and living in the hearts of human beings the world over. And random bad crap happens to good people all the time, and for no apparent reason. So, I guess that's the long way of saying the inquiry really should be: (a) Do spirits exist, and if so: (b) what are they; (c) who are they; and (d) what do they want with us? These questions are as old as mankind and the answers you get are greatly shaped by the times, the history, the culture, and the religion of the people who have posed these questions and attempted to answer them. Know this: the truth on these issues is hard to come by. I'll answer you the best I can with these caveats: I don't have a monopoly on the truth. No one does. Anyone who says they do should be regarded with scepticism and suspicion.

Do spirits exist?
Yes, Dont believe me. Rather, look at the extremely long history of accounts with spirits in both religious and secular texts. The ancient Mesopotamians and the modern Mormons have described angels in terms that are substantially similar. Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary and to Mohammed. Demonic spirits have been cast out by ancient Jewish exorcists and by modern psychiatrists. Talk to some friends or family members, they might have seen, heard or felt something they can't explain. Many people believe that ghosts, spirits, angels and demons are just our imagination or our self-conscious, this maybe true but whether these spirits have an external or a purely internal existence is beside the point. We feel them, we see them, we hear them. That's real enough for me to believe they exist.

(i) Angels. It seems to be human nature to anthropomorphize things we don't understand. Consequently, we think angels are not too unlike ourselves: having hands, faces, bodies, and gender. Perhaps because our society is so patriarchal, we also think of most angels as being male -- with Gabriel being one of the few exceptions to this. Most scholars on the subject agree, however, that angels are not sexual, they lack gender, and they take on a human form simply so we may relate to them. It is also human nature to classify things. Even though our knowledge of angels is probably severely flawed, our religious scholars have managed to classify angels into "hierarchies" or "kingdoms," much as our botanists have done with plants. Some suggest the angelic kingdom can be broken down into nine choirs, each comprised of a class of angelic spirits: guardian angels, archangels, principalities, powers, virtues, dominions, thrones, cherubim and seraphim. The seraphim are closest to God and the ordinary angels closest to us. We are familiar with the some of the archangels, Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel, and a few others. These principal players are mentioned frequently in religious texts. Michael is so revered that many children are named after him. There are many other angels named in less traditional texts, angels like Sandalphon and Metatron, for example. There are the angels of the cabbala and of Enochian magic and there are the aerial spirits of the Theurgia. Not all of the Theurgic spirits are "good." For example, Carnesiel, a "dominion" and the chief spirit of the east, has been known to wreak some havoc with the assistance of his 60 billion dukes. The number of angels does indeed seem to be prodigious, which is a good thing since there seems to be a demon out there for each of them. Taken from: thecharmedones.com

(iii)Demons. We seem to have a firmer grasp on who the demons are. That we are so sure of their identities should tell you something. Many of our demons are really just ideas, people, or the gods and spirits of other cultures that we've demonized because we hate or fear them. Take a look at this guy, for example: Baphomet. Now, doesn't he look like evil incarnate? Well, that image was most likely meant to represent the life force generally and not evil specifically. It's amazing that demons are so often represented by horned beasts. This is probably due to the fact that many pagan religions have a horned god that represents the male procreative power. Sexuality. Lust. What you fear and can't control is often repressed and demonized. Perhaps this is why our patriarchal society also has so many female demons: Lilith, the succubus, harpies, furies, sirens and banshees. The list is long. If you'd like to take a tour of the demon world, Donald Tyson's "A Plague of Demons" is an entertaining and scholarly resource. Taken from: thecharmedones.com

(iii) Other Elemental Spirits. Many people recognize a variety of spirits that can't really be categorized as angels or demons. Kokopeli, for example, is an ancient Hopi trickster spirit who plays a beautiful flute song and occasionally seduces women. Muslims recognize creatures called jinn (genies), incorporeal spirits that are neither angel nor demon. And, of course, there are the devas, the elemental spirits of earth (gnomes), fire (salamanders), air (sylphs) and water (undines). Pans, pygmies, faeries, dwarves, dryads, maenads and a host of other creatures fall into this category. Taken from: thecharmedones.com

WITCHING HOUR
The witching hour is the hour of midnight on a full moon. It is at this time that the witches spell casting powers are at their fullest. It is a time of change and transformation.

The history of this may be traced to the ancient times of the worship of Goddesses associated with the moon and fertility. As the moon waxes in its phases so do the powers of those, until they culminate at the full moon.
Witches Tools

Magical tools are consecrated in rites involving the four elements, air, water, fire and earth. Magical tools are inscribed with Runes, Sigils and Symbols.

Witches tools are used in the consecration of Magic Circles.

ATHAME : The witches personal knife. Usually double bladed with a black hilt and made of steel.

CENSOR : Container used in the burning of herbs, incense and other substances. Used in removing the unwanted energies away from the magic site.

CHALICE : Associated with the female forces of fertility, beauty, womb, earth, and subconscious mind.

PENTACLE : Symbol of the earth. Used to ground energy and sometimes to serve food.

SWORD : Associated with the element fire, it is sometime used for casting the circle.

WAND : Symbolizes the life force within the witch.

HAZEL : The wood used in making a wand.
BOOK OF SHADOWS

This is a book of beliefs, witchcraft laws, rituals, herbal and healing law, incarnations, chants, dances, divination methods, spells, sabbat rites and other information which serves as a guide for witches in practising their craft and religeaon. Each tradition has its own book of shadows.
In addition individual witches add their own personal material. This book must be kept secret at all times.

However sad to say some witches have gone public with their book over the years. In true tradition only one copy should be kept for a coven. This is usually held by the High Priestess or High Priest.

The book of shadows should only ever be hand written. The secrets in the book are limited to the witches position in the hierarchy.

Information in the book is passed out as the witch progresses through the ranks of the coven. If a witch leaves the coven the book must stay with the coven.

Very little is known about "books of shadows" before the 20th century. In earlier times the secrets were generally passed down through the generations orally.

Some hereditary witches claim their ancestors recorded secret spells and lore in little books. One of the first book of shadows to be published was Charles Godfrey Leylands "Aradia" in 1899.

According to tradition a witches book of shadows is destroyed upon their death.
CRAFT NAME

It is the custom in witchcraft to adopt a new name upon initiation. This reflects one's new identity as a witch.
You may only disclose your craft name to other members of the coven. Certain covens have strict rules about disclosing craft names to outsiders.
The main reason for secrecy around craft names is is because of the power of names. It is believed that knowing the craft name of a witch gives a magical power over that person.
Many spells involve writing a persons name upon a piece of paper or object. Craft names tend to be individualistic in nature and may reflect heritage or aspirations.

You select a craft name through meditation, study or divination. Some are given craft names by the high priestess. Witches may also change their craft name as they advance in the levels.
HEX

A Hex is similar to a curse. It can be placed on people or property. The word hex comes from the German "Herxse" which means wizard. Special talisman and amulets are available to ward off a hex.
BLESSED BE

Blessed Be, is a term used by Witches. It is used as both a greeting and a farewell.
GRIMOIRES

These are very old handbooks of magic, some of which may date back to ancient times. These books were well used during the 16th and 17th centuries.
In some covens they may still use some magic texts from these books. The original purpose of these grimoires was to conjure up the Demons who would be used by the magician to gain wealth or bring harm to enemies.

Grimoires give very detailed instructions which are very difficult to carry out. These instructions include what to wear, what prayers and incarnations to use, the tools that are required, precise astrological times, recipes for incense, seals, sigils, magic circles, amulets, talisman and more.

Grimories first came into common use around the 13th century and is thought by some to have been linked to the Knights Templar. A true grimoire is written by hand, those that are typed or mass produced are fake and should be thrown in the rubbish bin.

Much of the material in grimoires is taken from Egyptian texts dating back to around 100A.D. Using the Demons meant making a pact with them.

The grimoires help the magician outwit the demons so as not to fulfill the magicians end of the bargain. The greatest grimoire is "The Key of Solomon" which was attributed to the legendary King Solomon.

Another grimoire connected to Solomon was the "Lemegeton" which included both white and black magic.
FAMILIAR

The Familiar were common during witchcraft in the middle ages.

The Familiar accompanied the witch and in some cases was the source of the witches power.

The bond was formed by placing a drop of blood from the witch in the animals food.

The Witch sometimes consulted the Familiar when seeking omens.

Dogs, cats, hares, chickens and rats were often used for a Familiar.
Spells
SPELL TO PROTECT YOUR HOME
This spell is only for a home on land. You will need a total of 28 white candles that are 12 inches long.

In each candle cut 23 nothes which means you will have a total of 24 sections. On the base of four of the white candles write the words monday spelled backwards.

Continue on writing each day of the week backwards on sets of four candles until all seven days are covered. You now have four groups of candles representing the seven days of the week plus the 24 hours in each of those days.

Place one section in each of the four corners of the land your home is on. This spell may either be carried out between 12 midday to 1 p.m. or 12 midnight to 1 a.m.

Always start the spell on a monday. You must burn all four candles for that day and so on each day of the week until finished.

Before you start you will need to dig a hole seven inches deep in the shape of a dove in the four corners. The candles are to be placed in these holes.

Warning under no circumstance are the candles allowed to blow out. You should do this on a fine week with no wind.

It might be a good idea to build a shelter around the candles. As you light each candle ay these words : "ako, ako, ila nepara remeras ni lilnepo"

Let the candles burn out naturaly. It is however important that the candles make the last notch.

Now it is important that you place a gold coin (not real gold, just one that is gold in colour) within the melted wax in each of the four sections. At the end of the week when it is complete refill the hole back in.
Plant a jade plant in each of the four positions.

SPELL TO REPAIR A BROKEN FRIENDSHIP
If you have had a falling out with a good friend this simple spell will clear away the bad feelings and create a situation where peace can be made and the past put behind. It will in no way mean that the spell will force your friend to come running to you. It will simply pave the way for differences to be forgotten and your friendship to resume its happy path.

You will need two twelve inch white candles and a yellow candle. You will need some yellow and white ribbon. You should choose two tarot cards, one to represent you and the other your friend.

Using a heavy duty pin engrave the name and birthdate of your friend on one white candle and your name on the other. On the yellow candle engrave both your names and birthdate together.

On the yellow candle also engrave the following words : "preese ito na lionide"

Find a peacefull spot in a grassy position under a tree. Place the yellow candle in the centre with the white candles on opposite sides twelve inches apart.

With your left hand light the yellow candle. Then light the candle on your lefy which will have your name on it. Then light the candle on the right which will have your friends name on it.

Wait until a piece of dripping wax on each of the candles has touched the ground. Then say these words : (Your full name backwards)ete tiato el liso reto mio li qi" (your friends full name backwards)

Repeat three times. Extinguish all three candles wqith your little finger of your left hand, your candle first, friends candle second and the yellow third.

Tie all three candles in both yellow and white ribbon entwined. Bury in ground.

Simple Crystal Healing Spell

Needed:

3 candles- 2 light blue & 1 white
Allspice & Rosemary (equal parts each) or a Healing type incense
photo or paper with name of recipient
a small quartz crystal

Place the candles on your altar or workspace in a semi-circle with the white candle between the two blue ones. Place your incense burner above the white candle. Place the person's name in the center of the layout, with the quartz crystal on top.

Light the incense then the candles. Center yourself and inhale the incense as you think of all ill health dispelling from the person and instead being replaced by healing energy, much as the air is filled with the smoke of the incense.
Gather your healing energy and when you feel ready, release the energy, directing it through the crystal and to the recipient who’s name or photo is beneath it.
Give the recipient the crystal to carry as a charm for continued good health.

Protection and guidance with light so white
Stay with me throughout this night
Keep me in your angel glow
With me you'll be, for this I'll know".

Keep your statue near you when you do your spell work so   your angel's energy will lend protection and guidance.
